Anonymous VPN

NYC Mesh allows so-called “anonymous” connections to our VPN service by way of our L2TP/IPsec VPN. In this context, anonymous simply means that you are welcome to use our publicly-known username (nycmesh) and password (nycmeshnet), as described on the L2TP/IPsec VPN page linked earlier. It does not mean that your connection is untracable by the NYC Mesh VPN endpoint.

For truly anonymous Internet connections, please consider properly using a proper anonymizing tool such as Tor.

This is an unofficial copy of the NYC Mesh Docs website published and maintained by fabacab on GitHub. There are likely differences, possibly many, between this copy and the official Docs site, but the author prefers this version over the official version. This copy remains here so long as there are major differences between the two copies so that you can read the version that you prefer.
